Would it offend your Nazi sensibilities if I considered you a protected minority? I mean you are the only Nazi on here, and to be honest pretty much the only one I know. That technically makes you a minority. In fact, I'm not 100% on this but based on the current membership, gay people might actually be close to a majority on here.

No, it wouldn't offend me in that I despise people who get offended and I endeavour not to. However, it goes against what I believe, seeing as how I hate the immunity blanket worst of all. I do not want one, even if it's just to level the playing field; it makes me feel filthy.

Minority in numbers, maybe, but the word minority has nothing to do with the concept of a minority, which has more to do with emotional pullstrings than numbers. This gives rise to the concept of Protected Minority under the law, which does not include me.

I can live in a PC forum, I can follow the rules just as they are laid out in real life. I want you to try, so that I can prove this (and also so you don't offend any umbrageous people and you keep your forum, which I want to see safe and populous).

I believe we should come to a consensus on what is proper to say, and what is not. If we can all agree on the rules, then we shouldn't have such problems in the future.

I believe I can agree to follow the rules as they are laid out in real life: Extremism and offensiveness would be acceptable, but not against protected minorities. For example, protected minorities include gay people but not stupid people. So, we can bash and make fun of stupid people all we like. We can draw any conclusions we like about being stupid, and what goes with it.

I view it as a personal test; if I can't follow those rules, I'm a fake fascist and never really believed in absolutes, rules, or loyalty the way I think I do.

I never said I wanted you to leave, and I do want you back.

All I care about is making sure everyone can enjoy this forum and not feel uncomfortable with its rules. That is why I brought this up in the discussion area even though you declined my suggestion to do that yourself.

I believe we should come to a consensus on what is proper to say, and what is not. If we can all agree on the rules, then we shouldn't have such problems in the future.

I may be a dictator, but I'm not a king.

To tell you the Truth, the objectively right choice was not made; I believe Gaius should have sided with you.

I should be banned right now, honestly. I hope he can be made to see his mistake and to judge matters more objectively in the future. Whether he and I like it or not, you are a member of a protected minority, and implying anything offensive toward that minority would be, in the real world, grounds for loss of job, maybe even prosecution, depending on circumstance.

This may not be the real world, but this forum should aspire to be at the very least, respectful. I was not. I hope you'll be reinstated as moderator.

Nope, this is a private forum - he can do what he likes.

It's a done deal for me, I have no desire to return to a leadership role on this forum at this time.

I resigned as moderator in order to get past this unpleasantness, because I really don't need to be stressed out by things like this at this point in time. It's better to just let it go, and move forward.

Perhaps I will change my mind at some point and he will want me back here, but I don't see that happening in the foreseeable future. I don't want my friendship with him strained anymore then it already is currently.

Due to conflicts with rules that go against my conscience, I have decided it would be better that I were not in any leadership capacity here.
