Twenty is just a stepping stone to 21. Congratulations on getting one year closer to fully fledged adulthood, though. ;D

Yeah to think in another year I can have a glass of wine with dinner and not be committing a misdemeanor.

You can have that now in many places in Europe.

If you're saying that to try to one-up the Girl from Brazil, then I suppose you know, this means war.

If you're using that as an excuse to drink, well... *sigh* It's more eloquent than most and everybody does it anyway.

To tell you the truth I don't favour laws that assume you'll be guilty of irresponsible behaviour just because you're a certain age. I thought we lived in a country where individuals were innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven "old enough" - They should take alcohol privileges away from people who use it irresponsibly, no matter their age.

I tend to agree, after all a glass of wine a day is good for the heart, probably one of the reasons that heart failure while a serious statistic in America is almost absent from my family.

That's likely to be genetic.

I'm not sure, our diet is full of heart healthy food, tomato's, olive oil, wine, pinnola nuts, garlic, figs, grapes, apricots, lemons, and other fresh fruit and vegetables.

Its much healthier than the typical American diet with is mostly pre processed crap, sugar, grease, salt, and chemicals.

My family loves preprocessed crap. My mother smokes like a mushroom cloud, and still heart disease is practically unheard of in my family. 90% of everything is genetic. Especially dealing with the heart. Very few people fall into a range where they would not or would develop a disease based on their behaviour. You could point out hyper-obesity, but then again, obesity itself is genetic.

On the other side of the spectrum, there are plenty of people who eat right, excercise, and make sacrifices all their lives and still develop heart issues because it's almost entirely genetic.

I'm not sure I believe that, I'd need some kind of statistic at bear minimum.

Actually I erred, genetics trumps everything else... Except smoking. Smoking is the biggest risk. (Note that I count Obesity as a genetic factor.)
